James Sobol Kelly

James Sobol Kelly is an American actor known for his roles in Borg vs. McEnroe (2017), The Crown (2016), Florence Foster Jenkins (2016), The Conductor (2018), The Two Faces of January (2014), Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017), Assassin's Creed (2016), and Adventures of a Mathematician. Born in Chicago to Rosemary (née Kelly) and John Zlatan Sobol, James is the sixth in a family of seven children, and is of Irish and Croatian descent. His father was a barber for nearly sixty years, and his mother earned a B.A. in Geography while raising their seven children. James began acting when he was accidentally cast as Lucky in a University of Illinois production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. He graduated from the three year acting course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and has acted for many years with the groundbreaking immersive theatre company Punchdrunk.
