Oscar Foronda

Foronda was born in Barcelona, the son of José Pallarés and Nieves Foronda, both from Spain. He took his mother's surname as an artistic name first and later on made it his official surname. As a young child, Foronda was regularly taken to the movie theatres by his father, developing a passion that he describes as "my desire of performing on the other side of those screens". He found fascination and desire performing in first theatre plays during summer camps as a teenager. This was the beginning in committing fully as an actor. After his competitive athletic period during his teenage years (he was a bronze medal champion in Karate in Catalonian and took another bronze medal home in a Barcelona official fitness competition), Foronda became greatly devoted with theatre and film acting, performing the Shakespearean theatre-play Macbeth at the Barbican Theatre, London, directed by Calixto Bieito. Foronda became a prolific television actor in the years to follow, acting in many renowned Spanish TV and Film productions until receiving his first international role in Any Human Heart (2010), a British TV Mini-series directed by Michael Samuels, where Foronda plays the role of Faustino Angel. Since then Foronda has been chosen and credited for roles in a few international productions. In 2017 he plays a journalist in a first German TV series, Der Barcelona Krimi (2017). Most recent roles for Foronda in 2019 were for Netflix TV series Warrior Nun, along with his role of the cunning and implacable drug dealer "El Largo" In the Swedish TV series Gåsmamman (2015). In Spain there hasn't been a big demand for international projects in the past and living in Barcelona does not make life easier acquiring international roles, therefore Foronda has carefully chosen an internationally based agency in London to sign with in September 2019. Foronda immediately lands a role for Netflix TV series The Crown (2016), airing in 2020.
