Kelleia Sheerin is a Wild West born, world-class broad obsessed with clean, sexy, alternative energy who happens to be an award-winning director, choreographer, actor and dancer. Her first short, THE FEMININE MYSTAQUE, a dark comedic feminist horror flick, received an award at the Wildcat Spirit Film Festival and was awarded official selection at FirstTime FilmMaker Sessions. Kelleia also won "Best Director" in the Hollywood Fringe Festival for I Want to Bury My Testimony. Equal parts performer and creator, Kelleia has carved out a career telling bewitching, quick-silvered stories of people on the verge of either a break down or a break through. From directing on stage and screens to dancing as an absurd Scottish Tart in Eric Idle's live radio-play What About Dick? From portraying the ultra-savvy Burlesque Star, Tempest Storm, in Gangster Squad to camping-it-up as a 16-year-old camp counselor in Wet Hot American Summer - First Day of Camp to originating the role of Billie Veruka Wynette in Urban Cowboy, the musical which garnered her "Best Mullet on Broadway!" to choreographing on a myriad of shows, plays & musicals, Kelleia has built her reputation on an inherent understanding of the work, a respect for the unpredictable, the 10,000+ hours of a professional and the ability to solve anything. As an environmental advocate, Kelleia & hubby converted THEIR yard into a California Native, drought tolerant eco-system, drive electric and have solar panels. On a larger scale, Kelleia is involved with BareFoot College (in conjunction with Participant Media), a village-based organization empowering women to become solar engineers and is working with Michael Reynolds on building an Earthship Academy in SoCal which will be a web series to help spread the good word. She is the creator of QUNA a small online business of apparel (designer hip-bags, dance shoes and butterfly dresses) using recycled plastics from our oceans as materials.
