James Hal Hardy was born & raised in Boise, Idaho as the older of two boys. His mother is a schoolteacher, and his father was a mathematician. His mother remarried to his stepfather who brought in three more boys bringing the total to five boys. They are all about a year apart in age, so chaos ensued for their poor mother during their teens. James still keeps a tight bond with his brothers and family. His father passed away in May 27th, 2013. James graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Upon graduation, he worked briefly for a construction company. There he worked long days while moonlighting as an actor studying with Faith Hibbs-Clark at night. As soon as he saved up enough money he moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue acting professionally. From 2012-2014, he was hired to model for the hit show Syfy's Face Off There he was able to play all sorts of amazing creatures designed by special-effects make-up artists. In 2014, he was hired to NBC's Hollywood Game Night through the same production company acting as one of the valets. James guest stars opposite Carly Chaikin from Mr. Robot in the movie Social Animals (2018). He also stars in the indie comedy Tournament (2017). He has starred or guest starred for the television shows Murder Book (2015), My Crazy Ex (2016), My Haunted House (2016), Codes and Conspiracies (2016), My Crazy Sex (2016), Betrayed (2017), Mr. Mercedes (2017), Deadly Sins (2017), Evil Things (2017), Blood Relatives (2017).
