Alexandra Vino

Actress Alexandra Vino recently portrayed real-life organized crime victim Gloria Wiesnewski, opposite Mark Wahlberg, in director Peter Berg's Wonderland. She can also be seen, once again opposite Wahlberg, in Berg's action thriller Mile 22, and she portrays Octavia, a first century refugee escaping the Roman Empire in director Andrew Hyatt's Paul, Apostle of Christ, working opposite Jim Caviezel. A New York City native of Sicilian, Italian and Russian descent, Vino's professional acting career was jumpstarted when she was cast as an American dancer opposite Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in director Parmeet Sethi's Bollywood crime comedy, Badmaa$h Company. Prior to that, she had been a successful commercial actress in Manhattan booking over twenty commercial gigs. Vino credits her grandmother with introducing her to the entertainment world by taking her to Broadway shows when she was little, then enrolling her in summer theater camp, where she remembers how envious she was when the older kids had speaking roles (too young to be cast in parts, she played foliage on stage). A life member of the prestigious Actor's Studio in New York, where she has been studying for over ten years, Vino landed a top agent and began auditioning and winning prominent roles on television series, beginning with the recurring part of Gina Gershon's assistant, Lindsay, in How To Make it in America. Her series credits include: Golden Boy, The Shakedowns, Agent Carter, and Rock in a Hard Place. Vino's additional feature credits include: director Steve McQueen's Shame, Burying the Ex, The Gambler, Gender Bender, Penumbra, Lonely Boys, Emperor of the Free World, and Amelia 2.0. In addition to her acting chops, Vino has been writing and directing short films, music videos, and she's an accomplished fine artist, with many of her large-scale works in the charcoal medium being auctioned off to support non-profits like Stop Poaching Now.
