Although Garance grew up in Paris, her lifestyle was equally influenced by seasons spent in the countryside of Avignon. It is between the mistral, intense sunshine and greyness that her character was forged. Whether in the bustle of a city or in the solace of the farm, her early childhood was influenced by her parents' desire to constantly be surrounded by artists, eccentrics and activists. After studying double bass and singing at the CRR in Paris, she changed career paths and left for New York to study drama. She received rigorous training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and after completing her studies she returned to Paris ready to enter the world of cinema, theater and radio. She is based in Denmark since 2018. Alongside her role in cinema, she keeps a foot on the stage, performing in "Not I" by Samuel Beckett, directed by Nina Voit and "4.48 Psychosis" by Sarah Kane under the direction of Ann-Charlott Amann. Some of her most recent credits include : the supporting role of Julie, a french war prisoner in the Danish film "Hvidstengruppen 2" directed by Anne-Grethe Bjarup Riis. She also starred in the short film "Selvportræt" directed by Sofia Due Rosenzweig and produced by the Danske FilmSkole. This film had its debut September of 2021 and was very well received by critics and audiences. She played the minor role of Bernadette de La Cour in Niels Arden Oplev's latest film "Rose" that is set to release in 2022. She is currently (fall 2021) directing/performing in the American play "Agnes of God" written by John Pielmeier. This stage production will be opening in Copenhagen during the spring of 2022.
