Recipient of the prestigious IB award, given by the Directors Guild of Denmark, to a producer who makes a big difference in the industry, and producer behind films, series and documentaries that have won at the Cannes Film Festival, Emmy Awards, Danish Academy Awards, and many more, Ronnie Fridthjof is one of the more experienced and successful producers in the Scandinavia film industry. Fridthjof's first feature "Take The Trash" was a low budget comedy that sold 450.000 tickets in Denmark (A country of only 6 million people). He went on to produce the acclaimed documentary "Armadillo", which won at the Cannes Film Festival and was the 2nd largest grossing documentary in Danish cinemas ever. Fridthjof has produced or executive produced more than 15 feature films, 10 documentaries and 5 TV-series in only 10 years. Most of them blockbusters in Cinema, TV or sold to Netflix, HBO and many more. Ronnie Fridthjof founded Fridthjof Film in 2000 with director Rasmus Heide and COO Toke Rude Trangbæk. He headed the company for 20 years. In addition, Fridthjof has been part of the board at The European Film College, The Danish Producers Association and headed the largest film fund in Denmark The West Danish Filmfond.
