Ayesha grew up in Toronto, Canada, where she resides with her husband, hair stylist Halsey Gonsalves. Upon graduation from Earl Haig Secondary School-Claude Watson Arts Program as a dance major, she attended the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and went on to receive her BA in Film Production, from The City University of New York, Brooklyn College.
